Topic: Prints looking ok but still not perfect.

Well after playing around with some adjustments on my 2.0 I think things are looking ok. I also was greeted with a software update today when I started the XYZ software. I don't know if that fixed some things but between that and adjustments things look ok but still not great in my opinion. If any of you see anything on these pictures and know a solution please let me know what I can do to fix it. All of these prints are done at .3 layer height except the chill pill it was at .2. Thanks.

I'm having the same issue, but worse. except around 2" it starts getting really bad with strings and actually ruins anything about 2". Any idea how to fix this?

Re: Prints looking ok but still not perfect.

Stringing is due to retraction, speed, filament and heat. "Stock" and the XYZ slicer won't let you control many of those things other than speed. If you want to see if the issue is mostly just the poor job the slicer does, upload or link a test STL and I'd be happy to slice it for you and link you to the gcode I get for comparison.

Re: Prints looking ok but still not perfect.

Similar probs here. i think top surface finish is what XYZ is not able to give. I printed a lot of flat models , first being the XYZkeychain, which didn't have a good top surface finish either.

And have you guys tried to print a DEMO print which looks like a bird water pool or a glass? How is the neck of the print coming? My had way too many blobs, and every time.

Any solutions for that?
