Topic: 2.0 firmware

I was wondering if anyone has any info or anything on changing the firmware on the 2.0. Im interested in changing it but have heard that Repetier will work but not for the second extruder. I dont like the limited settings and other stuff and would like to open her up and get all I can out of this thing. Thanks.

Re: 2.0 firmware

Has anyone tried changing the firmware on a 2.0? Everything I read is on the 1.0 and I cant find anything on the 2.0. Also if I chance the firmware can I still start a print and unplug the computer or dose it have to stay hooked up? I am currently using a macbook for everything but I do have another laptop that runs windows 8. Which one would work better to run everything on? Sorry for all the questions but I'm very interested in all of this and am very new and looking to lear. Thanks

Re: 2.0 firmware

Not quite sure about repetier firmware on the 2.0, but I do recommend windows. I have a mbp too, but I use parallels to run windows when 3d printing. You can add a gcode file to the sd card thru repetier host, but i usually leave the printer plugged in so I can change the settings mid print. You can't do that from printing thru the sd card
