Topic: Da Vinci 2.0 Duo Availability In Australia?
I was intending to buy a Da Vinci 2.0 Duo while in USA recently (USD649 from amazon.com - btw the 1.0 is USD499 ). Alas it didn't become available until the day I left the USA (23 August). It doesn't seem to be available anywhere in Australia as yet. I have contacted kogan.com 3 times encouraging them to stock the 2.0 Duo as well as the 1.0 - they are non-committal at this stage. You can buy the 2.0 Duo from amazon.com - shipping from US to Australia is nearly USD200.
While in the US I picked up 15 x XYZprinting ABS Plastic Filament Cartridges, 1.75 mm Diameter, 600g, one of each of the 12 colours available plus an extra black, red and blue through Amazon for USD28.00 each, ie 15% cheaper than through kogan.com here in Australia.
I also picked up an XYZPro (fom wctek.com) device/interface for USD80 which is designed to:
1. reset chip in printer cartridges you refill yourself, and
2. get maximum flexibility out of the Da Vinci Printer. It allows you to set the extruder and bed temps to just about any value (as long as it's supported by the current firmware) - this goes for the filament length as well. And to use PLA on your Da Vinci.
As it turns out, I can't wait any longer for the Duo 2.0 to be available from a supplier in Australia and have decided to get a FlashForge Creator Pro (AUD1,495 including GST from the3dprinter.com.au). As such I have available for resale:
- 15 brand new, unopened ABS cartridges (individually sealed in shrink wrap) available for AUD33 each plus shipping
- 1 x XYZPro device/interface (unused) available for AUD85 plus shipping.
Send a me a message if you are interested in some/all of these.
