Topic: Da Vinci 2.0: Filament Jam

Received my Da Vinci 2.0 printer today, and installed the filaments without any issue.  However, when I tried to print the sample comes with the printer or any STL via USB, it will print for few minutes and stop with "filament1 jam" error.  If I continue with another job, no filament will come out.  Then, I managed to clean the nozzle and unclogged it.  When I print again, filament will come out and act normal for few minutes and then stop -- same problem/cycle; I tried at least 5 or 6 times.  Any idea?

Does the filament feed properly? Sometimes the desicant packets can get dislodged in the cartridge blocking the filament feeding.

Make sure the rubber plug has been pulled from the cartridge

Yes, I did remove the plugs from the cartridge and the filament come out fine - only that it will stop after few minutes.

I read some post about the speed of the print, is there something I need to adjust?

Did you alter the temperature by any chance? If not I would recommend unloading the filament, cut about a foot or 2 off the spool and try to load it again

I never change the temp or other settings.  I just reloaded the cartridge and cut off about a foot.  Same problem - printing started and stopped/jam.  I checked the calibration and it was FAIL (way off), after I re-calibrated it, I was able to print the Key Chain (quality wasn't good but it completed.

However, I am having problem to print other sample like vase - it's clogging the nozzle in the middle of the job.....

Thanks all!

Make sure you feeding it through the feed holes under the top lid, I did not see those at first, and the lid might be catching your filament in there.

Mine is working incredible!  Loving it, but still need to hard this baby
