Topic: Glass Bed Cracked

Hey guys, first time posting here

After 2 days of use my glass bed has cracked,

I've found 2 other topics here about the same issue, but would like more info if possible.

I contacted Kogan.com (the website I bought it from here in Australia) and they just got back to me saying I could get a replacement for $79 AUD plus $10 shipping, is this worth it?
Does anyone know if the glass can be replaced by itself or does the bed need replacing too?

Thanks guys

Re: Glass Bed Cracked

The heating element is glued to the glass. You can get better parts cheaper. Get a 200x200 PCB Heatbed and a cheap glass (local hardware store is under $2 and have it cut 200x200).  Total can be purchased for less than $25 USD and from there on if the glass breaks you just need to replace the glass as the heat element is not glued to the glass.
