Topic: Out of Filament Error

I just setup my new printer, and after 3 attempts at printing various models including the demo, I have come across a recurring issue. After about 5 minutes of printing, the display says "Out of Filament". The printer then continues to move around but no material comes out of the extruder. I have a new cartridge that I've set up and re-loaded after each failure, but it continues to make this mistake. After one failure I cleaned out the extruder but the problem persisted. I'm using all of the normal print settings with the 1.1.G firmware version.

Has anyone else seen this before or does anyone have advice for how to troubleshoot it?

If you haven't changed anything out of the box. Maybee you should contact xyz support.

I had this problem with a new filament cartridge.  Others had no problem, but with this one, the printer would continually ask me if the filament was loaded.  If I said "yes" it would just ask me again.  If I said "no" then it would say "out of filament."  Turns out the cartridge chip contacts were not making a good connection.  Popped mine open and repositioned the chip and now it works fine.
