Topic: Serial cable COM port issues - No connection -
Hi
I have Solidoodle 2
Windows 7 home premium
Attempting to connect for first time.
I plugged in the serial cable and it came up with the attempt to install the unsigned 3rd party driver on Windows. This was not successful.
1. Run through the below solution. from superuser.com
Enable testsigning (on 64-bit machines);
run a command prompt with admin rights;
type cmd in the start menu dialog, right-click and run as administrator;
enable testsigning for your currently booted Windows installation by typing bcdedit.exe /set TESTSIGNING ON
Reboot your machine.
Result; Plugging in Solidoodle serial cable results in no visible action aside from (not altogether positive) audio cue.
2. Then went through manual install...
found here....
support.solidoodle.com
The Solidoodle drivers for Windows can be found in the following link: Windows Driver (7/2/2013)
Driver seemed to install fine.
Result; Plugging in cable still gives no result.
Installed Repetier Host Installer
In printer settings Port is listed as COM10 , press OK
when i press Connect lists error in log "port10 does not exist"
Any body got any ideas how i can resolve this connection?
