Yeah, I thought that was a great deal so finally pulled the trigger on my first printer on Thursday.

Now they are $599.

Stock SD4 with 3/16" glass attached to stock (kapton-covered) bed with Aquanet.

Wow tempted...although I thought they're not that different from  SD3's?
Now its at 599...how much was it before the drop? 999…?

The enclosure matters, and although they're easy to make, the one that comes with the 4 is pretty nice and everything's done so it's pretty much ready to print out of the box.

Turns out mine came from an unauthorized dealer (thru eBay) and so SD won't support a broken component (microswitch). Fortunately, I'm an EE and pretty handy (aren't we all here? smile )..

Yeah, $999. I purchased one at that price literally 4 days before it dropped to $699. No wonder it went from payment to ship in less than 6 hours!
