Topic: Maker Faire NYC - Will Solidoodle make an appearance?

So the Maker Faire in New York is being held September 20th & 21th. I wonder if SD is going to make an appearance? And if so, Well they have any of the new models on Display?

I took a look at the sponsor list and they are not listed (http://makerfaire.com/sponsors/)

At any rate if you are in the NYC Area you should go. Its awesome.

On a side note, It would be cool to have a Soliforum Meetup there (If Possible)

It would be even cooler if NYC would stop hogging all the cool events and share with Chicago tongue

+1 and other cities across nation

Solidoodle 2 with Deluxe kit cover & glass bed with heater. and 2nd board SD2 used not 3rd and alum platform not installed yet still wood. also need cooling fan installed to board. use Repetier Host couple vers. Slic3r also have all free ware STL programs

Also, I've been thinking it would be great to have Regional meet ups...i.e. the Southeast, Midwest, etc...co-ordination might be a challenge, but worth it!  Heck, I would drive 3-4 hours to meet up with even some of all y'all (guess...I'm in the Southeast)!

AZ there are makers fairs and mini makers fairs all over the country . there was a large fair a few weeks ago in Detroit at the Henry ford Museum and  there is a north side mini fair held in May  and a south side  fair in Aug in Chicago.
Like anything else a little googe will help find the events.

Got that...I was thinking more of just Solidoodlers...

well you can always post a thread and invite anyone in your area to meet for breakfast or lunch at a local restaurant or diner on a Saturday morning. One forum I am on has done that.
Or do  makers fare and organize people from this forum to set up as a group.  the third option was mentioned do a set meeting time for meet and greet at a makers fair.
A hobby forum I am on has done all of these.

Our users often say hi at Maker Faire. Unfortunately, most of our users aren't in the NYC area for the event.
