Topic: Heater Bed went to High

Hi everyone hopefully someone here can help me. I recently started to calibrate my new XYZ Printer but as I did the bed went so high that it got stuck and now will not move and I am getting error 0030 when I turn it on.  You can see what happened in the picture.

I noticed after this happened that a yellow cable is just hanging down I am not sure what it does but I am guessing something came loose in shipping.

The bed went high enough to put tension on the y axis belt?!i wouldn't attempt to print anything until you manually move it down

I don't have experience with this, so I can only give suggestions.. I would tighten the leveling screws all the way to hopefully relieve the tension off the belt.. The try to manually turn the silver cylinder of the z axis motor until the bed comes down ( I have no clue if this will even work, but it's what I would try)

That yellow wire thing I believe is the "endstop", which is the reason it went up too far and got stuck.

What you can do, is turn the power off, and then spin the leadscrew (The center of the three rods that goto the bed).

Spin it slowly at first, increasing in force slowly, until it releases and gets un-stuck.

Once you get it un-stuck, you want to put that endstop sensor back in place before you try another print, or else it will get stuck again.

After you get the bed un-stuck, check everything out for cracked or broken parts.

Ok thanks! I got the bed back down but could anyone take a picture of where their yellow cable goes?  I tried putting it there and hitting calibrate again and the bed went the whole way back up so maybe I have the yellow cable upside down or something.

I don't know how I'd get a decent picture of it, but if you see that white plastic part that the top of the bed back by the rods intersects with, that's where the light beam sensor goes.

You have to remove the screw that holds in the white plastic part to easily put the sensor back in place, but it's not difficult to understand exactly where it goes and how it works once you get it into place. Basically the bed support back by the rod closest to where the head parks will block the light beam on the sensor when the bed is at its end stop.
