Topic: SD4 VS SD3 @ Same price, what to buy?

Like the title says,

Amazon is selling the SD4 for $699 I have prime so I get free 2 day shipping.

Solidoodle sells the SD3 for $599 but it adds up to $680 with shipping.

Basically the same price,

Is the SD3 more comfortable than the SD4? It looks like they are the same printer just "nicer" enclosure.

If the SD3 was 599 including shipping that would be the obvious buy. Any opinions? Thanks!

Underneath the door and the sheet metal enclosure, the SD4 is, I believe, exactly an SD3 (frame and all).
If I was you I'd order the SD4 for the following:
* The thumbwheel thing for adjusting the z-stop
* Guarantee of the new extruder design (both versions these days should have it)
* Case: will initially be ok, but if you get mad keen on mods you might prefer to make your own
* 2-day amazon prime shipping - solidoodle just wouldn't be able to compete with that

SD3. Mk2b + glass, heated enclosure, GT2 belts, direct drive y shaft, linear bearings, bowden-feed E3D v5 w/ 0.9° stepper

The SD4 frame is different than than the SD3 frame. It has holes for the USB and power, since the motherboard is now internal, and mounts for a fan.
