Topic: stl repair help?

I've been trying to modify Lawsy's MK5 on and off for awhile and I cannot seem to add the single addition I've been wanting to make to the body...just a ring on the left side to guide the E3D wires. But it never slices right. Can someone point me in the right direction?

It looks like it's full of holes but can you link the .skp instead of the .skb?

Re: stl repair help?

So I think I figured it out and you really don't want the explanation.  Basically the root file you were using has just been imported and exported too many times.  So in the name of expediency I just redrew it form a better root file.  I hope I got what you were looking for and if not let me know I can change it easily.
It slices, it dices... hell the only thing it can't do is is wash your car big_smile

Thanks man! I'll give it a go tonight.

Re: stl repair help?

here's the modified stl if you still need it.  It's a little thin for my taste but if it works, I'm happy!

Re: stl repair help?

Hello Azerate, I have analysed your model with Susolid plugin (as I'm the author of it smile and have found :
2 tiny mistakes fixable with 1 click  and one piece not fixable, 2 solid intersections and lot of reversed faces .
The cause of the not fixable piece is that you have use the Solid Tools in mm,that produce the mistakes,SO you need to do it again in meter scale and then will be ok (than you can scale it back to mm).
Please see pictures.
