Topic: Repetier questions

ver. 0.85 as recommended by SD. The 3D visualization color configuration does nothing on my XP machine. I have reset the colors there many times yet I still get a black background and a red object. Any help, please? Thanks, Mike

Have you tried using the newest version (.95F)? It's a lot better than the earlier ones if you ask me. I'd write down all the printer settings and such from the SD version first though.

I had considered doing that but I haven't seen any posts from SD recommending anything but 0.85. Perhaps they could chime in with so info on that. Thanks, Mike

I run .95F with the latest (stable) slicer and it works just sine with my Solidoodle 3. I've also just upgraded my firmware to use and support an E3D hotend, and Repeltier works flawlessly with that as well.

I use the latest Slic3r as well for complex slices because it's less buggy. Then feed the gcode into Repetier 0.85. But they are basically both just generating gcode and feeding it over a serial port. I wouldn't see any problem upgrading either as long as you keep the default Slic3r settings ffrom Solidoodle.
