Topic: Repetier v0.95f Error

Hello,

Has anyone successfully downloaded and used this newer version of repetier? I'm having an error when I initially open repetier. The error states the following:


--Error drawing 3d view: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

Now I downloaded v0.95f twice and I still get the same error when I open up repetier. In addition I can't even load a .stl file. I previously ran v0.85b without problems.

Has anyone else ran into this issue?

I just downloaded it last night, but it won't connect to the printer yet, so I'm still using .85b.

Bowden SD3, Rumba, E3D hotend, Mk5 with RtRyder changes, Direct drive Y axis and bearings, GT2 pulleys and braided fishing line, Lawsy linear bearing conversion, M3 Z screw.

Make sure your .net libraries are updated. RH depends on .net. Perhaps the newer versions need a newer version of .net to work.

Also, update your graphics drivers. A lot of OpenGL software is moving toward cutting out openGL 3 support.

Caveat:
I have no idea what this problem represents. It seems that this has been a bit of problem with 0.95f from the start.

it seems that RH has changed some of their error handling. RH is suggesting that people upgrade their .net, and install visual studio express 2012.

Some people have had luck fiddling with their graphics drivers.

This is one reason Solidoodle sticks to older versions of RH smile

Thanks for your input. I'll look ino the .net issue.  I do have an older computer running my SD2 so the .net issue and possible graphic card issue may be the problem. Once I look into this I'll provide what I found here. In addition I did revert back to v0.85b and all is working well.
