Topic: Rounded Extrude?

Many of my 3D prints are flat items which I extrude out, usually using TinkerCad. That is fine most of the time, but it would be nice if I could make the extrude a little rounded automatically somehow. Is there some free toll out there that can take a complex SVG and extrude it, but with a slight roundness to it. Doesn’t even have to be fully rounded, just so the extrude does not have as sharp or corners so to speak.

Re: Rounded Extrude?

I'm not familiar with TinkerCAD, but if it has an option of a Fillet, then you can try that.  Select a radius for the fillet less than the thickness of the extrude, then select the edges you want to round off.  You should get a nice rounded edge.

Re: Rounded Extrude?

TinkerCad I don't think has a fillet, but some of the other free software does. Thanks, this at least gives me a place to start.
