Topic: End gcode help

The way I have my current end commands are such:

G28 X0 Y0  ; home X axis and y axis
G1 Z100 F300 ; lower platform to bottom
M104 S0 ; kill extruder temperature
M140 S0 ; kill bed temperature
M84 ; disable motors

But the extruder slams into the front right M4 bolt if I forget to manually click back on Y, THEN hit home X, THEN hit home Y. Can anyone tell me the proper code I would need to return it to the back right position?

Thanks in advance, and sorry if this is in the wrong place on the forum! smile

Re: End gcode help

I'm not certain but on that board you should be able to leave end code in slic3r empty.  Have you tried that?  I don't have any custom end code and it does exactly what you want when it's done.

Re: End gcode help

It depends on the board??

It goes to back right, but when the bed lowers, thats when the extruder moves to the front.

Re: End gcode help

check "Park Position" under RH->Printer Settings ; "Print" Tab.
For an SD3, try 195, 195, 50  (this is actually off one of my ords, so ignore the values in the screengrab...)

No it depends because it's my board and when i had it on my printer I never needed anything in the end code.  I don't have anything in the end code for the Rumba either so I just made an assumption that it must be in the firmware.  I would guess Adrian will clarify this for us. smile

Re: End gcode help

Firmware has a home setting, which it uses when you home using the g-code... But the Park position is defined in RH.

If it happens after the bed lowers, its coming from the Park process, which is wholly RH derived (see settings above).

Re: End gcode help

oh and make sure RH's home-pos is correct...

Re: End gcode help

Thanks for the help, adrian!
Busy tonight, but I'm looking forward to fiddle with it over the weekend.

Re: End gcode help

It can be a bit confusing, especially when you look at firmware stuff too. The firmware actually dictates your homing method, but you need to put the homing method into RH (as adrian showed above) not to control the homing, but so that RH understands where your nozzle is when it completes homing.

The RH printer settings are automatically being added to the slicer gcode, along with the custom gcode in the slicer tab. So you have two ways of controlling the end movement. Either use the park position and checkmark 'goto park after job/kill', or add the manual commands to the slicer tab end-gcode.

Re: End gcode help

Hazer is correct!!
Under Printer Settings/Printer tab, I somehow had Go To Park After Kill Job checked.
I don't know how or why it happened. hmm
Took me a couple days to work with my printer and tinker. Came on here just to post my success and I ended up having the solution already handed to me. I even felt smart for a minute big_smile
