Topic: I'm more than confused...

so i went to place my order the other day and i see a required field "Company ID" i don't have a Company ID. Why can't i just order this dang thing??
I sent off a few days ago an email regarding this Company ID stuff... but still no reply :-/ so i......
Unfortunately, i went to another website to go ahead and order my filament. Which sucks cause Solidoodle just lost out on an extra $200.00 order.

The good news is you'll end up with filament that is better than the SD filament for less money.

Yup.
I'm still trying to burn through my SD ABS so I can have a valid excuse to the wife to buy up some Octave.

just tell her you need to get some pink/purple/red/<insert her favourite color> to print her a nice tchotchke ... then its just a matter of working out 'what' (spiral vases are usually a big hit...) wink smile

so does anybody know anything about this Company ID field in the order stuff? sure somebody here ordered a solidoodle....can somebody answer my question?

guessing its to do with NY State Tax/Company laws . Wasn't there when I last ordered in December 2012 that I can recall - or maybe I just put 9999 in there... same for tax id... But I have no idea how the NY tax system works, or the US tax system for that matter.. so best to clarify with someone who has a clue which is not I smile

But spot on that the order form is cryptic and offers absolutely no inline help/assistance with those fields, what to enter, why, and how to provide a generic one where they do not apply (such as 'leave blank' etc..)

Edit: Actually seems that there is NO input validation on those fields... even though they are marked as mandatory with the asterisk, leaving them blank makes no difference to the forms ability to be submitted.. so just skip them maybe.

Either way - best to ask the people that want to take your money. [email protected] or skype call them during Brooklyn Business Hours M-F ...

Nevermind. Got the skype and got their skype name. now they just have to answer lol

Go to the Skype directory type in Solidoodle and follow the steps for contact request.
