Topic: Harvest Technologies Design Contest

Hi,

I’m Chris from Harvest Technologies. In order to encourage growth in the 3D printing community, we’re holding our first design contest where the winner will receive a free 3D printed model of their design. In addition, the winning design will be showcased at the Harvest Technologies office and on our social media.


To enter into the Design Contest:

Two SD3s - One with Sang, One with Printrboard, Fans on control boards!!! Do this!!!, Dual Glass Beds, Blacklight "EZ Bake Oven" - Improves Ambient Temp, Sketchup, Repetier, Slic3r. Graphic Designer & Makeshift Engineer. Drinks Lots and Lots and Lots of Rum.

actually - looking at the time stamps, I'd say its more likely that they got the '502 bad gateway' error (which was being thrown out at the time) and posted it by accident 3 times ... I was also getting said errors at the time they posted these..

Definitely - but besides being posted 3 times to arguably the wrong sub-forum, it is actually at least on-topic for the subject matter wink And all advertising is not spam, just all spam is advertising wink

If you're getting the 502 errors you probably need to logout then back in again, something changed in the bb s/w or cloud fare about a month ago and now it doesn't like it if you stay logged in for extended periods.

Sorry for accidentally posting 3 times. I didn't realize it had posted this many times. As for the contest, definitely not spam and really not just an ad. There's genuine people behind it. We're just trying to seek a little more industry promotion and get legitimate contest entries. Please submit a design if you're still interested. big_smile

My company actually uses Harvest for some 3D printed parts (along with several other suppliers)... They are definitely a legit company

if it's not spam, then why aren't the rules and design guidelines openly published?

You put links to your company here, asking us to go like your face book page, (which will in turn put your companies names on the news feed of all our friends.)

Having said that I do have a few ideas...

is the competition open worldwide? or just to the US?

Our contest rules are posted in our blog and on our contest Facebook page, but I will post them here as well!

Contest Rules:

Design Specifications:

Design materials need to be either Nylon GF or SLA
Design cannot exceed 5x5x5”

How to Enter:
1.) Like Harvest Technologies Facebook Page
2.) Email CAD file to [email protected]
3.) Describe your design on the Harvest Technologies timeline. Let us know what inspired you!

Prize:
The winner will have their designs printed and mailed to their specified address. A second copy will then be printed and featured predominately in the Harvest Technologies office. Images will be taken and posted to Facebook and other social media outlets when the contest is completed.


CONTEST PERIOD
This contest begins on March 3rd, 2014 and is open through March 21st, 2014 at 5:00 PM CST. All entries (submissions) must be received on or before the time stated during the submission period.

WINNER SELECTION
The Harvest Technologies staff will select the winner at the end of the contest period. The winner will be notified via email and the results will be posted via Facebook.

LEGAL
By participating, each entrant grants Harvest Technologies permission to use his/her name, likeness or comments for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration, except where prohibited by law. Each participant agrees to allow Harvest Technologies use of their submitted content and/or intellectual property for marketing purposes.

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the promotion will be directed to Harvest Technologies, not Facebook.
