Re: pRUSA I3 Hot end

Well you've just compared an Apple to an Orange; since one is all-metal and the other is PEEK...

Anyways..

In the PEEK based stuff, both the J-Heads, or a Merlin hotend ; are good. They are you usual PEEK hotends. Not much to really say - they are what they are smile If you never want to extrude large quantities of Nylon, or Polycarbonate, then they are fine but prone to failures/blockages...

In all-metal fronts; well; You can do an E3D (but its quite fat, and quite tall, and not quite a standard Groove mount) ;
You could do a Prusa Nozzle - given it is on a Prusa smile
Or my personal new favourite - the Hexagon hotend from RRD..

Bigger question is do you want all-metal or happy with the limitations of PEEK...

As to 'which' is 'best' on a Prusa - the printer doesn't really influence the hotends one way or the other - its purely about which hotend serves you best...
