Topic: Print density and the "feel" of items printed
Being about a week into my Solidoodle 3 ownership now, and having fully calibrated everything, I'm finally working on "real" prints. One thing that surprised me though is the "feel" of them. I guess when I thought of a print, I thought it would feel more like if you hold a piece of ABS pipe in your hand.. solid.. sturdy. When printing at .3mm and 40% infill, the prints I've done feel very.. light and "airy" for lack of a better term. And yes, I realize that at least 60% of the object IS air.. heh
If I upped my infill to 60, 80 or even 100%, would things feel more like what I was expecting?
