Re: Taulman 3D "Bridge"

do keep us posted.. im very curious as to the quality of the bottom surface using the PVA.. does it end up like over used hair spray and slightly matte and pitted, or does it seal glossy like on Kapton/pure glass/ etc..

Re: Taulman 3D "Bridge"

I've had good luck with nylon and the elmers glue. I would assume this would work similar.

Ill let you know as soon as I get printing.

Re: Taulman 3D "Bridge"

I would like to see a warping test again if possible.

...until warping is reduced I don't see many practical applications for nylon filament.  We have been able to make it work at my company but it usually requires more finishing than a standard consumer would find acceptable.

Other thoughts:

Taulman needs to start showing all these test results and show what they are actually being used for (print settings/ application/ etc).  As far as I know, I am the only industrial user of Taulman nylon in existence who has posted results of a part being used in an industrial application.

I have asked Tom (taulman) before to include me in testing of new polymers but he has yet to offer me a spool...so at this point I am skeptical of all of these so called testers of these new materials.

* I did get to test 645 but not before its release (and I had to pay for it)

Re: Taulman 3D "Bridge"

Will do.

I would also like to see more documentation, pictures, and applications.

I guess I got lucky and pestered him enough and got putt on the list.

Any specific test you want done let me know.

Also DeParted. I would like to see what you have used it for. I could look at industrial/practical uses all day. Looking at figurines and stuff gets old.
