Topic: Fan doesn't respond to repetier or manual commands

any insight on what would cause this? 

I can't turn the fan on or off.  It just runs constantly.

Are you referring to the fan attached to the extruder stepper motor?

If you are using a SD printer the fan does run constantly, that is how it is designed just for cooling the extruder to prevent jams.
