Topic: printing with support - strange support patterns

Hi guys,

I'm printing my very first completely self created object on my Solidoodle 3. I built this model in Sketch Up and let the stl fix by nedfab.

Importing the model in RepetierHost works fine. As there are large hangovers in the model I decided to print with support. I played a little bit around and everything looks promising but unfortunately there are some strange support structures i don't know how to get rid off. See the attached pictures.

I include the Gcode file too.

Do you have any ideas how to fix this?

Can you post your slic3r support settings?

Re: printing with support - strange support patterns

Run your model through netfabb if you haven't already.
This occasionally happens for me when the walls of a piece aren't recognized as solid by Repetier, I assume.

This is a crowd funding thing that I'm running: http://www.gofundme.com/bvi140 It's for pretty selfish reasons tongue

Here are my Slic3r settings ...

I already used the Netfab online service but it reported to have two holes left.
