Topic: what objects is acetone good for?

Hello.
I've seen videos of people using acetone to smoothen their 3d prints.
I've seen that done on organic objects.

What about things like phone cases? is it a bad idea because the smoothening will make it asymmetric (ugly) and maybe not fit anymor because of deformation? Or a little acetone won't do much harm?

it just melts the surface based on time in the acetone/vapor... more time = more melt/smoothing Leave it long enough it will melt through thin walled objects and could cause deformation.
