Topic: ABS without heatbed

Greetings all,

So is it possible/advisable to print with ABS without a heatbed? Iv got my printer setup and ready, but i only have ABS filament, but im still waiting for my temperature sensor to be delivered.

So can i print without the heatbed? or should i power on the heatbed for a few minutes to let it heat up abit before printing, and then just switch it on every few minutes?

You could just try heating the enclosure with a hair dryer or heat gun and use a thermometer to monitor the temp...
