Topic: Hello from Singapore

Hello!

Got my Solidoodle 2 recently. Its an expert version from the Thanksgiving sale.

Havent had good luck with it so far. The hot end clogged even before I could start printing. The clog starts right at the start of the nozzle and continues till the end of the hot end. Tried to push the filament out using some of the new filament but doesnt seem to be of much help. The filament isnt strong enough to push the clogged filament through. Each time I ramp up the temp to around 200 degrees little bit of filament clears but no real progress.

Read up the posts on clogging. But I dont want to disassemble the all new extruder so soon. Do you think it will help if I disassemble the entire extruder and clear the jam? Or shall I persist and see if I can push the filament through using guitar strings or things like that?

Re: Hello from Singapore

The guitar string trick worked for me, and I didn't have to disassemble anything to clear the clog!

Re: Hello from Singapore

I managed to remove the clog. Had to disassemble the extruder and push out the excess filament using new filament.
