Topic: New CUBE Printers

It doesn't look like anyone has posted this yet. CUBE has two new printers at CES. They both look slick.

Re: New CUBE Printers

A printer that slick with those specs at the $1000 price point is the first real product of the Razors and Blades business model in the consumer space.  That said, I would be willing to buy the next generation that comes out at $800 once someone has posted a hack to defeat the chip in their filament cartridges.

Yea, filament cartridge is what kills it for me.

Think of it as a business opportunity :-). Just like all the little businesses cropped up to refill inkjet cartridges, someone with a filastruder should figure out how to refill a cube cartridge :-).

Re: New CUBE Printers

Maybe Claghorn, but I see now the inkjet makers have defeated some of the refillers with some change to their design. Another case of getting the cartridge before the horse. Sorry.
