I don't know how good it will be in the long run, but I have a Rubbermaid cooler that has a pretty tight fitting lid. I've got some small containers filled with the crystal kitty litter, a piece of perfboard on top of them, then the filament on top of that.

I keep mine in the gun safe with a golden rod in it.  Seems to be working just fine

I recommend a five gallon bucket fitted with the GAMMA SEAL lid. The GAMMA lid has one part that snaps onto the bucket and a lid part that screws on and off, and it has an o-ring seal. Get it at Home Depot or google it for your nearest dealer. Works for me.

I use a hi-tech trash bag fiiled with silica gel and a big binder clip to keep it closed wink

Re: air tight filament storage containers?

I'm using a Rubbermaid type container with a 1 pound canister of silica gel sitting in the corner. So far, so good.

Re: air tight filament storage containers?

How about those large vacuum bags that are used for blankets and pillows? Some rice in a perforated container with the spools, suck the air out and that should keep the filament nice and dry. Any thoughts?

Re: air tight filament storage containers?

I only worry about nylon. Long term storage though I have left things (other plastic rolls) in our furnace room.

Nylon I have a relatively tight acrylic case, with a ton of silica dessicant (0.3kg, not really a ton) that I will recharge soon.
