Topic: Hello Soliforum

Hi, my name is Adam and I live in North Carolina. I'm a senior in high school and will be attending NC State next fall to study aerospace engineering.  Ill be getting my doodle before long and am looking forward to making all kinds of things. Some of the first things I plan to make are a clip to hold my phone charger cable to my nightstand, phone cases and custom chess sets smile

Was just visiting a friend who is going to NC State!  The library is really nice.  They have two makerbots, a uprint, and a laser cutter of sorts.  But they charge up the arse for them as far as I can tell, so you're way better off with the doodle. smile

Yea I was on a tour and they had a replicator 2 on display in the new library. After my first year of basic engineering and matha classes I imagine ill spend a lot of time in the library. It is very nice indeed. Very futuristic with the "bookbot" smile

I loved that bookbot.  They have two replicators in the 3D print room.  Both broken. lol

I want to go there as well, just trying to figure out how since I live in NJ and all.

If you have the grades and can write good essays there's always scholarships. Wouldn't hurt to try. States a great school and there's hundreds of companies in the Raleigh area that offer internships and jobs which is one of the things that attracted me. Hope you find a way, maybe I'll see you there someday smile

Ha, maybe!  If you were my room-mate then I wouldn't have to explain to you why the printer is running all day. lol
