They use Helios beds on the Bukobot. You could ask around on their forums to see what their experiences are- http://forum.bukobot.com/
How is your bed working out? I find the HELIOS very interesting.
The Helios heat bed is essentially the same as the MK2 heat bed aside from the thicker board.
I personally use the MK2 but that was because I already had it and helios was out of stock at the time.
I machined custom brackets to attach to my aluminum bed plate which I machined as well.
You may have to figure out a creative solution if you don't have access to a mill to mount it on your SD3
Your SD3 plate is 8.00" x 8.00" inches the helios mount is 8.228" x 8.228" almost a quarter of an inch extra on all sides
Just so you know
I used two pieces of 2"X 1/8" aluminum flat bar and mounted them using the t-nuts that are in the wood platform.
Then drilled holes in the bars to match the Helios bed.
Ahh you have the wooden platform
that makes it a lot easier
Did you guys leave the existing heated platform? Or mounted it on an SD2 that didn't have a heated bed? Do you use glass on top of it?
I have an SD3 and I took the aluminum bed off.

I will be printing on glass when I get up and running. (hopefully before Christmas).
As for the Kapton tape it is an insulator that hold the heat in the heat bed.
I don't see where you need it if printing on glass.
