Re: New Repetier Host 0.95b

Guess these are some of the changes:
The EEPROM settings for Repetier-Firmware can be stored and loaded from the upcoming Repetier-Host.

The 3D view now uses antialaising and the camera movement is smoother.

We have added a new slicer management allowing different versions of the same slicer and added a watch directory for external slicers.

So have you loaded it up and tried it?

Yea, loaded it up and looked at it really quickly. Didn't really have time to play with it that much, but the 3D aspect of it is indeed much smoother. It carried all my original settings over so it doesn't seem like there's any reason not to change.

Re: New Repetier Host 0.95b

Can't download it at work but wouldn't it usually have the newest version of slic3r bundled?

Re: New Repetier Host 0.95b

I am tryig it now. I have a slight problem tho( even occured with  earlier version tho) On the manual tab it used to show the visual print progress. Now it doesn't.(see pic) .This may have happened after I updated the firmware, didn't notice it til recently.

Re: New Repetier Host 0.95b

I just installed it and at first I needed a framework.net update.
Got that done and it seems to work but it definitely replaces V0.90C unlike when I installed V0.09C and left .82b in tact just in case I needed to go back.
Any one know a way around that?

@Staman49: yes you can.

Slic3r 1.0 is incorporated inside this new version also !

HINT: for slicing with slic3r(1.0 integrated) you must change the Z-offset or else you will have an error.

Re: New Repetier Host 0.95b

I downloaded and installed 0.95b. It locks up when the splash screen came up.
I am going back to .95c

I tried to run on XP and it would crash the app as soon as the splash screen opened.  Gonna try on WIN 7 and see what happens

Re: New Repetier Host 0.95b

I am running it on XP and it seems to be working just fine.  It is going to take a bit to get used to the new Slic3r and getting that part dialed in the way I like it.

What kind of error did you get?
I didn't change the Z-offset and it seems fine but that doesn't mean I won't get the same error.

My Z-offset is set to Zero that's what I was wondering.  I have done several prints with this now and still no error.

Re: New Repetier Host 0.95b

OK since I have the same thing downloaded of VO.95B could somebody upload their screen shots of their slicer settings? I can connect to the printer and manually move theprinter head around but  I can't print.

"No Checksum with line number, Last Line 9"
"Line Number is not the last line number +1. last line 9" Then it repeats this line again.

Re: New Repetier Host 0.95b

OK here is the explanation: when you have a SD you  can let the z-offset to 0 but with a rostock max it must not be set to 0.

Re: New Repetier Host 0.95b

My .95 connects but will not work in manual. I have .NET 4.0 already installed. .85 still works if .95 is not opened. Not sure why .95 doesn't like to work.

Re: New Repetier Host 0.95b

Strange so many are having problems. Guess I just got lucky...just installed and it worked

22

Re: New Repetier Host 0.95b

I have fixed the problem. There is new settings i was not familiar with. " Reset on connect " needs to be disabled or it will do what i had described.

Re: New Repetier Host 0.95b

I don't see 95b on the download page any more just 95c.

Re: New Repetier Host 0.95b

I have installed .95b in Win7Pro 64-bit with no issues.  After reading others' issues, I installed in a separate folder and played around with it first.  After I was satisfied that it would run correctly, I made a copy of the current "Repetier-Host-Solidoodle" folder in "Program Files".  I then re-installed the new version over top of the existing version in the "Repetier-Host-Solidoodle" folder.

The new version picked up all of my settings, configurations, etc. without a hitch.

The only problem is, that the new home position now raises the printbed to the top instead of mid-position, regardless of what settings I change.  I'll have to figure it out before I try to print any large objects!
