Topic: Fine Tuning My RepRap

I'm currently trying to get my 3d printer to print better quality prints. I'm using slic3r and pronterface to print and I'm finding that they could be better. The y axis belt seems to slip sometimes and I've tried tightening the belt which only seemed to help a little bit. The layers seem to be laying to wide which you'll be able to see in the pyramid print. Any suggestions that I could do to the firmware or slic3r settings would be greatly appreciated. I've attached some pictures of prints below to show my my problems better. Thanks for reading this!
