Topic: Extruder Fan

I am thinking about getting the solidoodle 4th gen, and I was wondering do I need an extruder fan for printing?

depends what fan you mean. There's a fan that cools the extruder stepper motor...this comes on the solidoodle. There's a fan people use to cool the hot end. And there's a fan that people put on to cool the newly printed part. The second two are optional.
