Topic: Slic3r v.0.9.11

Does anyone have a pre-compiled version of Slic3r 0.9.11?

I'm not a compiling type of user, nor do I want to go the Git route (running directly from Git source).  So if anyone has a complied nightly version they're willing to post, I would appreciate it.

Alex basically closed the ticket I opened with a "we know it's broken and the fix is in 0.9.1, which will be released soon".  That was about a month ago, and on the Git milestone, there is no release date yet.

So this goes out to those savvy guys that have access to the source and have compiled the program.

I had some errors when I when to compile it. I will try again at some point, just not high on the list of things to do.

SD3 w/ mods:
Glass bed with QU-BD heat pad upgrade, threadless ballscrew w/ 8mm smooth rod, spectra line belt replacement, lawsy MK5 extruder, Lawsy replacement carriage, E3D hotend, Ramps 1.4 w/ reprap discount controller, DRV8825 drivers, 12v 30A PS, Acrylic case, Overkill Y-idlers, Filament alarm, Extruder fan + more.

I've been busy past few weeks so hadn't noticed this thread .

im using "0.9.11".. havent resynced github for a few weeks...

Works ok.. its overhang calcs are a little weird, and its doing 'interesting' things with support...

But otherwise, its working. The detect overhangs and thin walls features are nice - but it is leaving some intersting artifacts on single-thread walls (occasionally, manually added support structures come out perforated ...)

Re compiling - if you manually install the xml stuff, it'll work... and the libraries within perl they are using are changing regularly.

I also have had wx-widget errors the last few revisions, which prevents it and opengl compiling, but I can still build the GUI anyway.

I'm using the 32-bit citrus perl too btw...

Slic3r 0.9.11 update.

It appears that the release of v.0.9.11 has slipped back even further, as a few more issues have been found. 

Just yesterday the GIT milestone was at 76% complete with 25 open issues.  As of this evening, the open issues have multiplied to 31, and the completion percentage slipped to 73%.

At the rate of the current progress, we could be looking at a year or more before release. sad

Slic3r Update.

It appears that there will not be a 0.9.11 after all.  Alex has upped the version to v.1.0.0RC1, and while there's no completion due date, the completion percentage is not at 89%.

You can just copy the contents of the zip to the slic3r folder in RH.
