Topic: Next Monday is the day!

I was just checking the calendar, and I noticed that on Nov 25th, it will be exactly 10 weeks since I placed my order for my matterform scanner which estimated 6 to 10 weeks before it was shipped :-).

I never actually believed it would ship by then (having way too much experience of the accuracy of estimates), but at least that day will be a milestone (and who knows, it might even ship, their last blog entry back in October sounded like good stuff was happening).

I certainly look forward to getting it. For one thing, I have just got to get a scan of my stupid car's wireless keyfob thing so I can print a case for it to keep the alarm button from being pressed every time I bend over or sit down with the keys in my pocket. That is definitely #1 on my list of things to scan when the scanner arrives.

Anyone else have a #1 priority for scanning?

Claghorn - just a short note.  The people who backed the original project have not received their units yet so I don't think that your unit will be delivered tomorrow but you never know.  One of the original backers.

Oh yes. I never imagined any new startup would actually hit any estimates. I've always figured it would be late, but next Monday is the day that they estimated they'd start shipping :-).

Progress is being made, but they are also up against holiday shipping traffic and FCC certification. They do apparently have plans to go to CES in January, so I'd assume they will be really anxious to be able to tell people they are shipping by then :-).
