C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\RepetierHost is where normal repetier config lives
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\RepetierHostSolidoodle is where the SD Version installs the RH Config
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Slic3r is where your Slic3r Configs live in the normal version ; but a good proportion of the SD Slic3r configs are stored into the Registry ... so if you really want to keep them, just open the SolidoodleRepetierHost and click 'configure' in Slic3r and select 'File->Export Config' - But its just as easy to reset them as there is 2/10ths of f-all set for them thats different from stock and they've been identified in other threads before or on IanJohnsons blog.. search for slic3r settings .... http://www.soliforum.com/search/
I've also attached exports of my profile files - but make sure to reset the Slic3r->Printer Settings->Extruder1 nozzle size to be correct - you will more than likely have a .4 nozzle...
You can install RepetierHost and RepetierHostSolidoodle side-by-side - they install into two different ProgramFiles locations...
And to answer your question - probably never - and its not really relevant as they want to support a 'known version' to 'avoid' software issues - they are basically going to keep a 'stable' support environment as lets face it, they aren't running a great knowledgeable able-to-work-off-script support crew (but they are getting better....)
As for all the new settings - again - have a search; I've posted threads about the key changes for the last few slic3r versions... usually with helpful titles such as 'New Slic3r version 0.9X released'....
