Topic: Threads in sketchup. An easy way?

Has anyone found an easy way to create accurate machine threads in sketchup yet?

The first 90 seconds of this may help.

So just a little bit of rotate-multi copy-group-pull-scale, in German(?) smile

The OpenSCAD screw libraries that are out there would be better. Then just bring in the STL, clean it up and make it a component. Maybe this one. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8796

http://reprap.org/wiki/MCAD this is a library of all things useful for openSCAD. It's one of the libraries I import no matter what.

SD3 w/ mods:
Glass bed with QU-BD heat pad upgrade, threadless ballscrew w/ 8mm smooth rod, spectra line belt replacement, lawsy MK5 extruder, Lawsy replacement carriage, E3D hotend, Ramps 1.4 w/ reprap discount controller, DRV8825 drivers, 12v 30A PS, Acrylic case, Overkill Y-idlers, Filament alarm, Extruder fan + more.
