Topic: Thrust bearing v1.3

Could someone post a picture of how the thrust bearing is supposed to look on v1.3. The way I have it, it is not compressed at all.

Then you didn't mount the motor properly.

I know I don't have something right, just don't know what it is. I haven't gotten to the motor yet, on step 9

Then the auger should be free to slide back and forth. Slide to keep the bearing compressed and keep it in that position as you proceed.

Re: Thrust bearing v1.3

ok, so it is supposed to be free to move back and forth, a little bit. So I just pull out a little on the auger so the bearing is against the wood, correct?

I can push in and pull out on the auger, about a 1/2 inch, as you can see in the pics. One I am pulling the auger out and one I am pushing it in.

Yup. That's why the instructions say:

Axial movement of 2-3cm is normal. Slide the auger so that the thrust bearing is compressed during the future assembly steps.
