Topic: Replacing Kapton Tape

I currently have a SD2 with a heated bed (aluminum with Kapton tape on top).

I've seen a couple of videos on how to replace the Kapton tape on the printer bed.

My question is, can I use the wet method to put the tape on or what's the best way to do it?  I have 6 inch wide Kapton tape, so one pass is all I need.

Thanks,

GWFAMI

The wet method works fine.

Re: Replacing Kapton Tape

I just replaced mine using a light coat of windex to "float" the kapton and then used a credit card to swipe out the liquid.  Worked great.

Re: Replacing Kapton Tape

Be sure to allow a full 24hrs for the moisture to fully evaporate before heating the bed.Otherwise you run the risk of the tape bubbling.
