Topic: Anyone with years of professional Additive Manufacturing experience?
I love the push of the home 3D printer. When I frist saw the Reprap project years ago I knew it would evolve in to what we have today.
I'm just curious how many people who have been using additive manufacturing (the ASTM standard term for 3D Printing) on a professional level with professional machines also own a smaller home use desktop machine? I plan on purchasing soon and am doing my research now. I have been using additive manufacturing since 2004 starting with SLA, then changed jobs and used Objet, then changed jobs again and use SLA, SLS, FDM, Objet, Zcorp, and EOS Direct Metal all under one roof.
Those of you who own a Solidoodle and have run or used a Stratasys FDM how does the quality stack up after some mods and tweaks? I have seen soem awesome Solidoodle parts, and some meh parts.
Thanks
Curly
