Topic: Slic3r not cutting model correctly

Hi there,

I'm trying to print an object I designed in AutoCAD and exported as a STL (like many successful objects before it!).

When I import the model into Repetier it looks fine Object Placement screen. I then slice it using Slicer which completes without error as far as I can see.

I start printing, and it seems to have filled in areas that are meant to be empty.

In the above, it should have stopped printing fill and closed it off at 2mm. It was over 4mm when I stopped it.

Any ideas on what to try?

Re: Slic3r not cutting model correctly

This just needed to be run through Netfab. It looks like the corners of the arm mounts share a common point with the body. The STL wasn't slicing right because of it.

I uploaded the fix version.

Check this site out. Their basic software is free and it does wonders to fix problems.
