Topic: Not able to change top or bottom layer count

Not sure why i am not able to change the top or bottom layer count. It is at 2  and i change it to 3. When i save then it reverts back to 2. I did change it in the config file and it shows 3 but in Repetier it still shows 2 and the actual layers are 2 on the prints. Ever see this before?

I've seen this issue... You opened slic3r from RH so you usually have to close down slic3r after making your changes.  then the changes will stick.

From my experience, it seems to not want to save whatever the previous setting was.  For example, if bottom layers is set to three and I change it to two, when I try to change it back to three again it won't save.  Weirdly, it seems to somehow know the previous setting and not want to save it.  What works for me is to save a temp value first.  If it won't save when I change it back to three, I change it to four, save, then change it to three and it will save.  This works for me every time since I discovered it.  Anytime it won't save a setting, I save a different value first and then change to the one I really want and save.

When my settings do not want to change,  I found that what works for me is to type in 1 as the input...save it...then type in what I really wanted it to be...and save it again.

Edit: Oops, didn't see that someone else already posted a similar solution.
