Topic: Motorized Stabilizer for the GoPro 3

I used the Solidoodle 3 for prototyping of the EasyGimbal. It's currently available on kickstarter. It's a completely new concept of stabilizers that uses electronics and motors instead of weights. The EasyGimbal puts an end to shaky video and makes it possible to get completely smooth moving shots even while walking or running -->

Re: Motorized Stabilizer for the GoPro 3

@downeym It is a completely new concept of stabilizers that was introduced with "the Movie" about 6 months ago. Sorry, if this was misunderstood, but I wasn't trying to claim that is the very first stabilizer of this type.

The way ours differs from pretty much every design that is out there, including yours is as follows: It is 3 axis and not just 2 axis, so you can actually walk and run around with it and not just use it on a moving platform like a bike. It has barely any external cabling, almost all the cables are internally including the sensor cable etc. Most other designs are a huge cable mess.
Also, we don't use RC lipo batteries. We use standard DSLR type batteries that can be charged on a standard charger (you won't have to know about charger settings etc.). Furthermore, there's no balancing required. This gimbal is plug and play, and I haven't seen anything that comes close to it yet. All the other solutions out there aren't exactly user friendly.
