but I'd still buy it if it allowed precise sizing and .STL output...

I think I shall wear my cynic's hat until I can try it out.  Notice that in the video most of the objects are cylindrical and/or rectangular.  I would like to see it attempt a living object, something that is naturally asymmetrical.
