Topic: why is the first layer so thin?

I want all layers to be solid, including the first layer. But the first layer automatically becomes very thin. Just as shown in the below attachments:
I use Solic3r as a tool to generate gcode.
Anybody knows how to set the Solic3r to get rid of the first layer or make the first layer thicker?

That looks to me like it may be  a raft thats being put down.  You should see a setting in slicer for disabling the raft, I think its under support

Raft layer is set to zero, so there is no raft layer , I think.

It's definitely a raft.  Double check that the profile you are editing to turn off the raft is the one that is selected in Repetier.

below is my setting, and I am sure the profile I am editing to turn off the raft is the one that is selected in Repetier.
I doubt maybe it is the problem of Solic3r

Re: why is the first layer so thin?

Try changing the pattern angle of raft to 45° or something like that. If the pattern changes then it is definitely a raft issue. Or try saving that config as a new name and use the new one. I have had configs glitch out on me before specifically having to do with raft and support.

If you imported a config from an old version of slicer, it may be defaulting to use a 1 layer raft. I don't remember when raft got added to slicer but I am pretty sure it wasn't included with version that solidoodle supplied.

SD3 w/ mods:
Glass bed with QU-BD heat pad upgrade, threadless ballscrew w/ 8mm smooth rod, spectra line belt replacement, lawsy MK5 extruder, Lawsy replacement carriage, E3D hotend, Ramps 1.4 w/ reprap discount controller, DRV8825 drivers, 12v 30A PS, Acrylic case, Overkill Y-idlers, Filament alarm, Extruder fan + more.

God, no change. So it's not a raft?

Re: why is the first layer so thin?

I am sure it is not a raft now, because the first layer is included in the 3D model. If it is a raft, it should not be part of the model.

Re: why is the first layer so thin?

Just to be sure, can you post a shot of the RH slicer settings tab?  Just want to make sure that Ian's suggestion is not correct.  Just because it says it in Slic3r, doesn't mean that is what you are using in RH.

Re: why is the first layer so thin?

I finally figure it out. It is not a raft. That's because I set the extrusion width of first layer to 1, but the solid layer extrusion width to 0.53. In Solic3r, the thickness of trace is dependent on extrusion width.

Re: why is the first layer so thin?

This is my previous setting. If I change the first layer to 0.53, the same as solid layer, it works.
Thank you all for your patience. Have a good day!

You gave me a good idea!Yes,first of all, check whether it is a raft issue.
