Topic: Dynamic infill

Is there any slicers out there that offer different infill percentages for different sections of a print?

Say I wanted to strengthen a certain part of the print. What are my options for achieving that goal?

Re: Dynamic infill

When I need different infills at different heights (Z) I just slice it multiple times with the differing infill patterns/percentages then splice the gcode layers together.... I know it's not the most elegant way to do it but it woks smile.... Now if you mean different infills in different areas of the model at the same Z layer that would be kind of neat... complicated but neat smile I have not seen anything like this yet... but am sure it is not too far away.

You can add tiny holes that stay enclosed in the solid space that are something like .5mm. The slicer will add perimeters, but the holes will be small enough that they fill in.  You can space these around to create the density that you want.

Awesome, thank you for the replies. I'll be sure to try both methods.

Really interresting ! it could be a good option to add in Slic3r ...
