Topic: Hello from Winlock WA

Picked up my SD3 from the UPS hub Monday.  Been reading, reading and reading all week. 

Wiped and rebuilt an oldish laptop with Win XP.  Installed the drivers and software.

Today I picked up some glass panes from Home Depot (8x10" 3/32"), cheap hairspray from the dollar store, and some M4 nuts from the local fastener store.  Loctited the nuts to the bottom of the bed screws.  Leveled the bed using a business card. 

First print done today, first layer was a little squished.  Printed off center (in the back right quadrant), guess I need to tell it where center is (more reading).  A couple of the corners did warp a little, I could get the business card under two.  Printed at .3  layers.  I didn't want to wait long for the print to finish smile

All in all a great result for my very first attempt.  Now to start printing all those mod pieces.  The bug done bit!!!

Welcome Pallison, That looks real good for a first print smile good choice on the .3 layers... it's best to get everything dialed in before jumping to .1 or smaller.
