Topic: Cant Install Drivers Win 7 64x

I cannot install ANY drivers. I've tried both 64 and 86 bit and even tried the EXE.

Does it give you any kind of error message or just nothing?

When I install the EXE's it just says they install. When I try to point it to the folder it says theres no drivers there.

What model motherboard do you have - the 'newer' type or the older type... they use different drivers is the reason I ask...

Also - tried turning off Driver Signing in windows ?

Try these then; http://pjrc.com/teensy/serial_install.exe

(PJRC is Paul, who built the original Teensy, that became the Teensylulu, that the Printrboard redesigned, that Solidoodle have adopted... its a long funny family history, suffice to say, these drivers will work because they are essentially all the same microprocessor and board setup... )

If you need further aid, you essentially have a Teensy++2.0, or a Printrboard:
http://reprap.org/wiki/Printrboard

Best to turn off driver signing checks - from memory Pauls are signed, but may as well rule that out at the same time.

Not sure where SD are at posting 'their' drivers (the new boards have been shipping only 5 weeks, and we only got the schematics/firmware finally yesterday)  - but it ain't going to be any different to Paul's for any reason I can think of...

EDIT: By this stage, Windows could be well confused by the previous driver install attempts. You may find the device is 'installed', but marked as 'not starting'. Plug it in, open Device Manager, and if this is the case, Manually 'update drivers' using the .inf's from the .exe I linked

Ok, well, You need to run it as Administrator, and you MUST have Unsigned Driver install setup in windows.. else yes it silently fails (sometimes it will error correctly)...  So reboot with driver signing checks disabled, and then give it a go...

I'm in the midst of something, else I'd reboot to turn off driver signing and check for you (Win8 here, its a royal PITA....)

But first and foremost, ditch driver signing, install as admin, and then we can go from there

And try using a different USB Port as that forces Windows to build new registry associations on the driver (every USB Physical Port builds its own index).

Re: Cant Install Drivers Win 7 64x

Just checked - it installs it into the win driver hive inside windows - if you install it first, then plug the hardware in - it just works. Plugging hardware first, will throw it out of whack.

Manually install the attached .inf against the device in Device Manager - it will be appearing, otherwise your entire motherboard would be failed...

Just got that driver to install. Now whenever I open R-H it instantly says program has stopped working. I downloaded ReplicatorG and it lets me connect and move my printer around. But I cannot print because it says I dont have python (I do)
