Topic: Which firmware to use with SD2?

Long long ago, back when the SD2 had barely started shipping, I upgraded my SD2 to use lawsy's fork of the Marlin firmware, plus a few tweaks of my own. Now I'm finally getting back into this, and I see that Solidoodle has their own fork of Marlin.

How do I know which fork to use? Is the root Marlin project not usable in the SD2?

Do any of the forks compile with the latest Arduino IDE? Or are we still stuck on 22?

latest lawsy version should work fine with 1.0X, as long as you update the files in the Arduino files - you need the latest sanguino hardware files.

Great. Thanks. Are those the same hardware files mentioned in the README?

The README still says that 22 is required, so I guess it's a little out of date?
