Topic: stl to repetier from solidworks

I just received my sd3 and haven't been able to print anything very nice! I've been both transferring downloaded stls as well as transferring stl files directly from solidworks to repetier and haven't had luck with either! Seems to me like slic3r and skienforge aren't all that I need? I'll show a picture if it helps. Hoping someone can help me.

Re: stl to repetier from solidworks

That does not look like a STL file problem. That looks like loose belts and general calibration of the machine.

Check this video out and I think it will help alot.

Re: stl to repetier from solidworks

I use solidworks for all my model and they turn out great. It looks like a calibration issue in your case

Re: stl to repetier from solidworks

Both of your pictures would appear to be problems with the amount of plastic coming out of the extruder... Have you done check on the flow rate or extruder calibration yet ? --->http://wiki.solidoodle.com/solidoodle-1

Depending on how the frog was oriented the "Y" axis could use a little more tweaking.

Re: stl to repetier from solidworks

Thanks so much!! My prints are starting to look good now. After calibrating the extruder, adjusting the belts and tightening the slop of the x axis from the plastic pieces that sandwich the guide rail.
